The best way to experience Belfast, Maine’s maritime culture is from the deck of a traditional working boat. You will be encouraged to participate in the handling of this classic Friendship Sloop. Help raise and trim the sails, take a turn at the helm, or just sit back and relax. On “Amity” you will learn of the challenges faced by the skilled lobstermen of a century ago as they fished under sail. Hot coffee and a selection of teas are provided on the trips. |

the sun sets on Penobscot Bay, "Amity" makes her back to Belfast
under reefed main and staysail. Sailing in Maine can offer plenty of
challenges, but also some spectacular rewards.
